About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate to join our team as a Credit Business Analyst. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent Business, Finance or Statistics graduate looking to build a career in business analysis, consulting, or strategic operations.
The successful applicant will be working at the National Office in Dunedin which provides support and guidance to our franchise and vehicle dealer networks around the country. Initially, this role will be based in our Credit function, however as the business evolves, there may be opportunities to work across functions.
Just some of the things you’re responsible for:
- Turn complex data from multiple sources into meaningful insights to support business decisions
- Translate data into clear, practical messages for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve efficiency
- Support the development of credit models, business rules, and processes
- Improve data quality, integrity, and system resilience
- Act as a data steward by maintaining standards and sharing knowledge across the team
- Contribute to building a data-driven culture with self-service tools, dashboards, and reports
You’ll need to have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (or near completion) in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or Data Analytics
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) for data modelling and building self-service dashboards
- Strong analytical thinking with a data-driven mindset
- A proactive approach to change, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Ability to investigate issues, identify anomalies, and solve problems effectively
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new technologies
- Understanding of machine learning and interest in AI and emerging technologies
