At MTF Finance, we specialise in providing asset finance and personal loans to both individuals and businesses. We conduct our own lending assessments and proactively identify sales opportunities. Our approach centres on putting people first, which means truly understanding each customer’s situation and making thoughtful, responsible lending decisions.

Success in this role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as you’ll be working closely with customers from lead generation to loan management.

This role requires someone who is energetic, highly driven and with a strong customer focus.  You will have a high desire to succeed and can identify new opportunities to grow and meet company objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify, build and maintain excellent customer relationships
  • Become an expert in our product offerings ensuring clients understand the full range of options available.
  • Maintenance of existing customer database and use for referrals
  • Assist with the development and promotion of the MTF Finance brand in the market while professionally attending networking events as required.
  • Processing and analysing  each stage of the application process and ensure applications and documentation are processed in accordance with established policy, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Arrears management combined with the rest of the team
  • Ensuring your work is completed accurately, efficiently, professionally and ethically.
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably required by the employer from time to time.

Essential attributes and capabilities:

  • Previous experience in a sales consultant role or with a financial services company
  • Sound understanding of sales process, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in meeting sales targets and objectives.
  • Understanding of the following Acts, and the ability to work within these regulations:
    • Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 (CCCFA)
    • Privacy Act 2020
    • Fair Trading Act 1986
    • Credit (Repossession) Act 1997
    • Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT)
  • Excellent relationship building and time management skills.
  • Organised and efficient with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High levels of integrity and privacy, able to maintain strict confidentiality.

Need to know:

  • You’ll be working from our office located in Kumeū.
  • You’ll be work closely with a very small, dynamic team, contributing to both customer service excellence and broader company initiatives.
  • The start date for this role is flexible and will begin as soon as you’re available.
