The successful applicant will be working at the National Office in Dunedin, which provides support and guidance to our franchise and vehicle dealer networks around the country.

Just some of the things you’re responsible for:

  • Undertake data preparation, complex analysis, and interpretation of data from a variety of MTF, partner, and external sources.
  • Use your data expertise and insights to support the Group Finance Controller in making sound decisions.
  • Where required, translate complex concepts or data analysis into simple, practical, and impactful messaging for non-technical audiences.
  • Become a data steward for the Finance and Treasury team and contribute to team knowledge by sharing ideas and assisting to upskilling current team members in everything data.
  • Develop and maintain robust treasury-related financial forecasts, including measuring and monitoring liquidity, funding, and capital utilisation.
  • Build scenario and sensitivity models to assess the impacts of market movements, funding changes, business performance, and economic conditions.

You’ll need to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • Extensive data analysis experience and expertise (minimum 5 years), preferably within the financial services industry
  • Experience using BI tools such as Power BI to support data modelling and dashboard development, which will enable team self-service
  • Data-driven mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to investigate and identify anomalies, outliers, or issues
  • Champion of change, innovation, and continuous improvement
