Their start-up, Kairos, was established to bridge the gap between low-decile schools and tertiary education. The pair have extended their reach by launching a new website which enables them to reach secondary students and university student volunteers. They are in the process of developing workshop materials to engage directly with secondary school students.

“The ability to increase engagement and excitement about our workshops is so important to Kairos, as we want more low decile secondary school students to consider university and be excited about the academic futures, we can encourage them to achieve.”

MTF Finance’s support through the Future Legends Scholarship has given Charlotte and Nandini the confidence to be bold and grow their start-up.

“We look forward to continuing the traction from the scholarship and have put together our first workshop, which we are launching this month”.

The Kairos team has grown in the past six months, with new team members passionate advocates of the programme’s vision to increase access to tertiary education for low decile students.

The teams believe in being brave and looking for opportunities to grow.

“Make sure to just give it a go, you never know what might happen and how you can take control of your own life with the MTF Finance Future Legends Scholarship.”
