Meet our leaders
Chris has been CEO of MTF since May 2022. He brings extensive financial services experience, having held senior leadership roles at Humm Group and Sovereign. Chris is focused on building a purpose-led organisation that benefits the communities it serves and drives sustainable growth, helping more New Zealanders get ahead through responsible, people-first lending.

Kyle joined MTF in 2006 as Financial Controller and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2014. In May 2022, he also became Deputy Chief Executive Officer. With accounting and financial management experience across New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Kyle brings deep financial expertise to MTF. He plays a key role in leading transformational programmes and strengthening the business for sustainable growth.

Laurette brings a wealth of experience to MTF Finance. She previously led Credit Operations and Customer Service teams at Toyota Finance New Zealand, and has built an impressive career holding senior leadership roles at organisations including ASB, UDC and ANZ. Laurette's expertise spans consumer, commercial and asset finance lending.

Shaan joined MTF with over 15 years’ experience across legal, regulatory and governance roles in New Zealand and Australia. She brings deep expertise from senior leadership roles at Aurora Energy. Shaan is focused on embedding strong risk and compliance practices that protect customers, support the network and enable responsible growth.

Dan has been CTO of MTF since September 2022. Dan joined MTF following 13 years of executive leadership in the New Zealand financial services sector with a proven track record of delivery under large brands, including AA Insurance, Suncorp and most recently, Chief Technology Officer at Fidelity Life.

Joe joined MTF Finance in June 2026 from Toyota Finance, where he spent four years as Head of Sales. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the automotive and finance sectors, including leadership roles with Toyota Finance, Honda New Zealand, and BMW Financial Services. During his six years with Honda New Zealand, Joe served as Head of Honda Finance, building extensive expertise across sales, dealer development, and automotive finance.

Shareholder Director nomination
Nominations to the MTF board can be made by any shareholder qualified to attend and vote at the AGM. Nominations must be signed by the shareholder and contain written confirmation by the nominee of their willingness to be elected. To be nominated as a director, a candidate must be a shareholder originator of MTF Finance, in accordance with the Company’s constitution.
