As part of the credit team, you will provide solutions and support for MTF Finance to minimise exposure to bad debt and credit risk by undertaking analysis and interpretation of data and insights to contribute towards ongoing development of credit risk management strategies, policies, and practices. Undertaking facility applications and reviews, monitoring portfolio and facility metrics, and lending approvals are key activities of the Credit Analyst role.

Just some of the things you’re responsible for:

  • Undertake data preparation, analysis, and interpretation of data from a variety of MTF Finance, partner, and external sources.
  • Communicate insights to stakeholders via data visualisations, reports.
  • Undertake regular credit watch and credit risk indicator analysis, sharing insights with the team for action.
  • Identify and recommend initiatives for the credit team to create efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare originator agreements, including franchise agreements and security documentation, as required.
  • Review originator commission holds in line with credit covenants and credit policy, recommended holds, releases.
  • Provide expertise and support for originator lending assessments.
  • Actively contribute to and support projects and enhancements to support organizational strategy implementation, as required.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • At least 3 years experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar position
  • The ability to build effective relationships and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capability – able to make quick and sound decisions about lending approvals.
  • An eye for detail and a head for numbers, with commitment to quality and accuracy
